Cacao beans

To remove moisture from the cacao beans, we put them in the sun carefully. We keep the storage at specific temperature and humidity. And of course, bugs free.

Cacao beans are imported from warm countries like South America and Africa.
By the time the beans get to Yokohama, the air inside of the container gets humid because of the change in temperature. To preserve the quality of the beans, we put them on pallets one each and let them dry in the sun. After they get completely dry, move them in the storage and keep the best temperature and humidity. Also, we take pest control measures for the bugs that came along with the beans to keep the fresh beans at its best.
